{a special "Who" doll}

This was a special order for a good friend of mine, Brandi. Her daughter was a "Who" in the play "Horton Hears a Who" at one of the local high schools here.
Brandi thought this doll resembling her daughter in costume would be a fun gift to give her after the performance.
She sent me that first photo of her daughter in her costume so I could make the doll to resemble her. This whole thing happened last year the same week that my son got a cast off one arm and then a few days later broke his other arm while away on a scout camp out. The second one required surgery and I ended up finishing the doll up while I spent a few days in the hospital with my son. This is one thing I love about what I do, a lot of my creations are mobile and go with me where ever I go.
The doll pattern is from Gingermelon and the clothes I created myself.

{a little blue lamb doll}

I love this color blue. I've told my husband for years that I want a car this color! I know that's really random and doesn't even really have anything to do with this cute little lamb doll, but I just wanted to share that little tidbit about me.
So on to the real subject, this sweet little lamb dolls was a custom order for Julie in NY.
How sweet is that little face? ^^^

{Queen Elsa & Princess Anna's make-overs}

I've been making this little felt dolls for a little over a year now and my skills have evolved quite a bit since the beginning.
I have worked hard changing some of my dolls to look more like the characters they portray.  This top photo is my newest version of Elsa and this photo just above is the original first Elsa that I made over a year ago.
This is my newest Anna doll. I really like this new one so much better than the old. The original one is just below.

{Chiffon's dolls}

These sweet little dolls are all friends on an adventure.  They are the main characters in a book series by Chiffon Jenkins called "The Goldflower Adventures".  Her second book is almost ready to come out.

This photo above is the one from the book that Chiffon sent me.  This is what I used to go off of to create the dolls.
Olivia is the main character,
and her striped socks are her trademark.  These were quite tricky to create.  I had to piece fabrics together to get the stripes I needed.
This is Josie.  She's a tomboy and loves baseball and I love how her hair turned out.
This is Maria & Isabella, they are twins.
Meet Marvin.
He loves superheros.
And Ming Lin is the girly one of the bunch.  She loves to wear dresses and bows in her hair.
And last, but not lease, this is Alex.  He is good buds with Marvin and also likes superheros.
I had so much fun creating this fun group of kids for Chiffon. Our discussions back and forth made their characters really come to life for me.  I wish her best wishes with her second book coming out. Her website will be up soon, so watch for a link in the near future.
