{cam's prom dress}

This is my second oldest daughter, Cammi. She went to prom this last weekend and I finished making her dress just in time for pictures.  I was able to make this dress for about $25.  We have a fabulous fabric store here locally, that is called SAS Fabrics. It can be a bit overwhelming, because you have to dig through a lot of the cotton and knit fabrics, but it's well worth the savings.  This satin fabric was only $3/yard and at the other fabric store in town it would have been $9/yd.  I used a combination of patterns... Simplicity #3878 and the sleeves from #6675.  I did alter the sleeves and made them wider than the pattern is, to make it more modest.  Doesn't she look beautiful?

lace skirt {for cammi}

I made this lace skirt for my 17 year old daughter's birthday this year. I used this tutorial! I really like how it turned out.  I used a lace that was about 4 inches wide.  This whole skirt only cost me about $5 to make!

a new bag for makyla {scripture tote}

I've made so many bags for my girls, but Makyla (my 13yo) insisted she needed another one for her scripture bag.  Then as soon as I was done making it, she decided she wanted to use it for school too.  Silly girl!
I tried so hard to hide this silly mistake, but there's not a chance in this picture.  I've never done this before and probably should have fixed it, but I decided not to, and knew Makyla wouldn't care {and just as I suspected, she didn't}!   Do you see it?
If you would like to purchase a bag head over to my Etsy shop and send me a message. You can choose the colors/prints/fabrics and I will try to find fabric as close to what you request as possible.  Contact me through my shop.

{pink, green, yellow cross-body bag ~ for stanleeann}

One of my clients, StanleeAnn, wanted me to make another cross-body bag for her.  This time I made a few changes.  She decided she wanted me to switch the orientation of the bag, so it would sit on her left shoulder instead of her right shoulder.
The main part of the bag is made out of decor fabric, so it's a little thicker than the regular cotton that I normally make bags out of.
This bag is very similar to the last bag I made for StanleeAnn, with a few changes.
made the bias tape from fabric she chose to coordinate with the stripes fabric she bought. She also decided she wanted a slip pocket in the back, so I added that too.

StanleeAnn likes these little pen/pencil holder inside her bags too.
If you would like to purchase a cross-body bag like this they are $35 {+ shipping, if applicable}. You can choose the colors/prints/fabrics and I will try to find fabric as close to what you request as possible.  Contact me at: chelscraps(@)yahoo.com.

{ties for deb's boys}

These were some custom ties I made for Deb back a few months ago. She let her 4 year old son pick out the fabric and wanted me to make a tie for him and a tie onesie for his little brother. Then she decided to throw in one for dad as well.
I decided to surprise Deb and threw in this cute little zippered pouch for her as well.
If you would like to purchase ties like any of these they are $10 for the tie onesie, or the jr. tie & $12 for a mans tie {+ shipping, if applicable}. You can choose the colors/prints/fabrics and I will try to find fabric as close to what you request as possible.  Contact me at: chelscraps (@) yahoo.com.

{easter egg pennant banner}

This was another one of our craft group projects that we made about a month ago!
The pennants are made from pages from an old book, then distressed with ink.  The eggs are made from two-layers of scrapbook paper (giving a 3d effect) and then glued to the page.  The pages then are glued to the twine.
If you would like to purchase an egg pennant banner like this one they are $12 {+ shipping, if applicable}.  The twine measures approximately 88" wide from end to end. Colors may vary slightly depending on availability.  Contact me at: chelscraps (@) yahoo.com.
