{happy halloween ~ costumes galore}

I did a little sewing for Halloween this year.  Above is my oldest daughter.  I made her shorts and her mask (she painted it and I sewed it) and she made her tutu and painted the spider on her shirt.
Above is the dress I made for my oldest daughter's best friend.  She was an ice princess.  I wish I could have gotten a picture of her all dressed up with her hair and make-up done and with her tiara on.  She looked really good.  This dress was very difficult to make.  I've made several formals now, but this one by far was the hardest.
  Minnie Mouse is my 2nd oldest daughter.  I made her dress and she made her ears.
These are my 3rd and 4th oldest girls.  On the left is my 15 year old, doing face painting at our church's trunk-or-treat last night.  I never got a good picture of her costume.  She made her tutu.  And my 13 year old daughter (on the right), she's the only one I didn't have to make anything for.  My 15 year old did the 13 year olds make-up.
My oldest son was a mummy.  My husband and I tore up an old sheet and another large piece of fabric that I had into strips and tied them together.  It literally took almost an hour to wrap him up.
And my youngest boy was a lumberjack.  My husband made his axe and the rest was all stuff we already had.  My 15 year old daughter did his make-up for his beard. This was a very simple costume. We had a lot of fun this year.
I always love seeing the creative ideas my kids come up with.   Happy Belated Halloween!
