{family Rules ~ a big embroidery project}

This embroidery project is just a little of what I've been working on lately. I'll be heading up to the high country to go camping for my family reunion in a week and wanted some hand-stitching projects that I could work on while we are there, so I'm preparing several projects to take with me.  This is just one of them.  I plan to frame this and hang it by our front door.

I've also decided to join a group called A Lovely Year of Finishes {go check out their page to get more details}. I'm joining a little late, but it's never to late to get projects done right?  So this is my project for July.

{a fun, green, blue & yellow hobo bag}

And yet another hobo bag for birthday gifts.  This one is already gone.  My daughter had a birthday party for her friend the same day I made these bags, so as soon as I got home she asked if she could take it.  Of course, I had to take some pictures of it first.  This bag is a small & measures:  

11.5" at the top {when it's not pulled tight} 

3" wide {when it is pulled tight} 

7.5" at the bottom

x 8" high and 

has a 4" box pleat, so it opens quiet large.

{peach, brown & aqua drawstring bag}

A while back I made some of these drawstring "hobo" bags for my daughters, then my Cammi girl asked me to make one for her friend, Lauren {you can see that one here}.  Lauren loved hers so much that I decided I wanted to make a bunch to have on hand for my girls friends when they have birthdays.   

I decided to make a larger version of the bags that I had made before.  I'm not sure if I like how large it turned out, but I'm sure a lucky girl will find a good use for it pretty soon.

I love these fabrics and couldn't decide for sure what I wanted to do with them at first.  I also love this pouch pattern so I decided to combine the two & this is what I came up with.

{little miss oliana owl miniature felt doll}

This is sweet little Miss Oliana {a Peek-a-boo Owl Doll~ the pattern is from Gingermelon}.  She is very small, but so adorable.  She is completely hand-stitched with high quality felt and embroidery thread.

{little miss ellie eeyore felt miniature doll}

Meet litle Miss Ellie {the Eeyore Peek-a-boo Doll ~ pattern by Gingermelon}.  Isn't she so sweet?
