{sara's monster}

This was a custom order for Sara.  She wanted a monster applique bodysuit for her little girl.
At first I thought "a monster for a girl is a little crazy", but I really like how the different colors turned out.  I love it when my clients have me think outside my box.
If you'd like to order a custom made applique shirt or bodysuit head over to my Etsy shop,  You can choose the design (there are a lot to choose from) and the colors/prints/fabrics and I will try to find fabric as close to what you request as possible. Please note that I cannot guarantee that I can find exactly what you would like, but I will do my best.

{felt stethoscopes}

Here are the stethoscopes I made for Tiffany, to go with the lab coats for her niece's birthday party.
The party was based off of the Disney show "Doc McStuffins".
I was able to use die cuts to cut out the whole stethoscope, and then I hand-stitched the band-aid and the hearts on and stitched them together, adding a little bit of stuffing inside.
Rylee's stethascope is on backwards, but you can get the general idea.  So fun!
If you have a fun idea that you'd like me to put together for an event you have coming up, head over to my Etsy shop and send me a custom order request and I'll see what I can do for you.

{lab coats & stethoscopes}

One of my clients, Tiffany, wanted me to make some lab coats for a "Doc McStuffins" birthday party she was throwing for her niece, Rylee. This is a Disney show that I had never heard of until Tiffany told me about it (my kids are all past that stage).
I couldn't find a pattern for children size lab coats, so I searched the web and found a tutorial to make them from an existing boys long-sleeve dress shirt. Tiffany wanted 2 different sizes, so I borrowed a smaller shirt from a friend and used my oldest boy's Sunday shirt to make the patterns off of.
My boys modeled the larger size coats for me.
Rylee & her friend wearing their coats and enjoying the party.
I cut out and stitched Rylee's name on her coat.  She also got some purple buttons on her coat, to help it stand out a little more.
I had fun creating these fun coats for Rylee's birthday party.  Head over to my next post to see the cute little stethoscopes Tiffany had me make to go with these lab coats.

{a Christmas panda}

At the beginning of January I had a client that asked me to make a panda exactly like the one in a picture he sent me.  This is what I came up with.
I was curious why he wanted a Christmas panda a few weeks after Christmas, but he never responded when I asked that question, so my curiosity is still peaked.
I made the panda with a pattern from Melly & Me !  I used a pattern from Noialand for the Christmas lights.  The hat was made by enlarging a pattern from Sweet Briar Sisters.
The panda & the santa hat were made with very soft fabrics and the lights were all hand-stitched with felt and embroidery floss.  In all of my stuffed animals that are in a sitting position I add a filling to the bottom to help them sit up on their own.
If you'd like to order a panda head over to my Etsy shop and place a custom request.
The panda by itself would be $25.
Add a hat for $8
Add Christmas lights (or a different accessory) for $10.

{boutonniere's & a bracelet}

This is another custom order for Rae.  She is getting married tomorrow and wanted some sweet little boutonniere's for her little 2 & 3 year old nephews and a little bracelet for her 3 year old niece, so this is what I came up with.
These little boutonniere's are approximately 3" from  the top of the leaf to the bottom of the stem.
I created the bracelet and attached it to black elastic.  The flower arrangement is approximately 3-1/4" across from the tip of the leaf on the left to the flower on the right.
I don't think most people know this, but I made all the boutonniere's and corsages (as well as my bouquet) for my own wedding almost 21 years ago.  I will have to scan in some of those pictures sometime and add them here so you can see them.

{A Sweet Family of Dolls}

I had a client that wanted a family of dolls for her little girl, to resemble their family.  She sent me a picture of them and so I went to work trying to make them look like their sweet little family.
I had a lot of fun trying to create different clothes & hairstyles to look like theirs.
Their bodies are made completely of felt.  Their hair is made of soft & cuddly fabrics.  The dad's clothes are made of felt.  The mom's clothes are made of felt and a linen cheetah fabric.  And the little girl's clothes are made of felt.
These dolls are completely hand-stitched and they also have posable arms and legs.
